Commando Krav Maga is a reality based system. CKM Provides a solution to real life, face to face encounters. On the streets, there are no rules, no referees, and combat is very unpredictable. Your attacker could easily pull a gun, knife, or have friends that could attack you as well.
So what is a "Reality Based System?" To sum it up, Commando Krav Maga is not built on rules and regulations, but rather it is built on real-life scenarios. So rather than just training on techniques and movements, CKM actually implements real-life situations such as knife attacks, gun attacks, baseball bat attacks, punches, kicks, tackles, chokes and many more. The harsh reality of combat is that it is not fair and there are no rules. This is why Commando Krav Maga is utilized by some of the toughest soldiers in the world such as the Israeli Army as well as some SWAT teams and other law enforcement groups.
Commando Krav Maga is based on the concept of thinking like a Commando. That is to say, you engage your enemy only if it is absolutely necessary, and use your enemy's weaknesses to create maximum damage in minimal time. Then, disengage your enemy just as quickly so there is no chance for them to introduce a weapon or for their friends to come to help them. The goal is simple: Survival. This is the reality of the street.
